Hellow everyone out there! My name is Ryan and I am from the big and chaotic town of Pickerington Ohio. So over the past few years I have been playing in a lot of bands, and I found overall that all these people I was playing with were holding me back from my true potential. I was sick of hearing "No, change those chords" or "Sing your the song like that". So out of pure inspiration and self knowing, I started this humble acoustic/experimental one man band known as Cocktail Hour. The name itself is completely ridiculous in the form of how the name came about. I was reading a book and the name caught my eye, as well as I like the general laidback and optimistic aspects that go along with the name. Mainly in my songs you'll hear only my voice and my acoustic guitar, but in some songs I have gone off with a drum machine and recorded a bunch of sounds. I love listening to bands like Jets to Brazil, Muse, Onelinedrawing, Walking Concert, among others. I love upbeat bands that churn out really great music. Well I am Ryan and I hope all of you out there get to know me as I start posting more and creating more music. So I shall post soon!
